Central to our beliefs in Scientology is a conviction that all humankind is entitled to inalienable rights. So it is for more than 50 years, Scientologists have championed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
Today, the Church of Scientology sponsors the largest non-governmental information campaign to make the Universal Declaration of Human Rights known the world over.
To date, the Church has brought its campaign to more than 600 million.
The European Office of the Church of Scientology International fully supports the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime's Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking. To mobilize public opinion about modern slavery, the Church is broadly circulating the short film "No Slavery", one of the 30 Public Service Announcements (PSAs) on each article of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights. 60th Anniversary of the UDHR2008 marked sixty years since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was signed and ratified by the United Nations in 1948. The year-long celebration culminated on December 10th when the European Office for Public Affairs and Human Rights joined forces with like-minded individuals and groups from across the social spectrum, as an active member of the Committee for the 60th Anniversary of the UDHR.
